National Program of Integrated Circuits Designers Training
It was developed, through the CI Brasil Program, the action called National Program of Integrated Circuits Designers Training, in partnership with the American company Cadence Design Systems.
This program is aimed at expanding the training for ICs designers in an international level in the country through a professional training.
The program is taught in two CTs located in the states of Rio Grande do Sul (in Porto Alegre) and São Paulo (in Campinas). During the training (11 to 12 months), the students receive a support scholarship from CNPq.
The students are divided into three knowledge areas within the program, where the designers will get the following profiles:
- Digital Systems Design - Focus on the design of digital systems for medium and large companies. Emphasizing the steps involved in the digital design flow for modern fabrication technologies;
- Mixed-Signals Systems Design (AMS) - Focus on the design of basic analog electronic systems and interface, such as: operational amplifiers and comparators, AD and DA Converters, PLLs and VCOs;
- Radio Frequency Systems Design (RF) - Focus on blocks design used in integrated Radio Frequency communication systems, such as: low noise amplifiers (LNA), Mixers, VCO, Frequency Synthesizers, Filters.
